Hi Jason,
SDI processing will almost certainly need a SMPTE standard signal and it’s very limited.
That usually means 720 30/60P or 1080i / 1080P 30/60P only.After that we get into the 6G/12G for 2k/4k standards.

Even you can make a broadcast lens work for you, lot of other things are going to get in your way.
The main thing being that you won’t have any iris/color/white balance control remotely. That makes matching cameras very difficult.
Then you have to run com, SDI and power separately. This is messy especially if you’re on wheels.
Finally, you won’t have tally or access to program feed for your ops.Vince Becquiot

If you need to isolate an object, you might have to get creative. Have the subject wave his/her hand over it for example.

Was the gamma on the LED wall possibly not set properly?
As was as the graphics design goes, make sure to keep away from single color gradients, add a little bit of a secondary color to ramps.
Second, add noise to gradients to keep banding at a minimum. In After Effects, that would be the grain effect.Vince Becquiot

Unfortunately, it’s definitely not a camera designed for any kind of live shoot.
I’ve never played with this model, but usually, the info button will cycle through the on screen data and eventually get rid of most of it.Otherwise, go through the menu/manual and look for Live View settings

Your best option: Custom printed cheap usb sticks. 2 Gig or less should be very cheap. It’s easier to sell physical content unless you’re Netflix or Amazon 🙂
The copyrighted stuff is a much tougher one.
If it’s in the background or not the original tracks, it might not get picked up.Your best option here would be to pick a simple video based WordPress template and find plugin that allows you to setup a paywall. There are a few out there. That way you have control over the content.
Other option, create a private video, use Quickbook online or other accounting software that allows to send a digital invoice and send a password for a private video on Youtube, etc. after payment. The problem here is that parents can start sharing the password.

Hi Paul,
Yes, you can wirelessly get the audio from the mixer. One solution is the Shure FP3 (depending on distance and what’s between you and the board, that should work, but nothing beats a wired connection). Do make sure that you know the frequencies used at the venue so that you don’t step on each other.
Ask the engineer to send you a “post” Aux send with just the channels you need. I would also get a male TRS 1/4″ to male XLR short adapter since many non-digital mixers only have 1/4″ aux outputs.

Hi Chris,
I’ll give my 2 cents. The easiest way to go for these kind of setups is a light tent. That will give you the softest possible scene for your demo.
The problem is, if you need to see the talent in the same scene, that won’t work well.
For lights, bouncing on white cards works well to diffuse and get rid of shadows, especially if you plan on using LED panels which are very directional. The other way is to use very large diffusers, like those from Wescott or Lasolite. You still need lights coming from all directions, all around, including above.
