First, I would try importing your project in a new blank project, and if that doesn’t work…
Not sure the reason, but you could try encoding your mts to something else, Prores on Mac, uncompressed or DNXHD on PC.
Just select the file and hit Ctrl+M (CMD+M)
Try one first, then do a replace footage in your project panel. If that works, drag them all in Adobe Media Encoder and queue them up, then replace them all in your project panel.

The only solution is a good monitor, even a small one. At larger one will get you focused.
JVC has some great units that will get you a waveform graph at the bottom. Panasonic or Sony if you want to spend a bet more money.

I can see a lot of issues with that workflow, the worst being that there is no backup?
I would definitely transfer the footage before editing.

I honestly believe it’s a Premiere problem, I’ve seen this happen for many years. Not often enough to bother me, but it does happen once in a while. Restarting seems to clear the issue.

I could be the mp3s. I would drop them all in Adobe Media Encoder, convert them to PCM, them replace in you project panel.

Lo Noiz is a scene setting if I recall.
If you van access the menu, you could try doing a firmware upgrade:

The garbage matte has always been buggy. I usually just do the keying in AE since it’s much cleaner.
You could try using crop instead of GM, but of course, you only get 4 point. At least that may get you through this project.

Got it, given your settings I figured you needed 4:3. Just make sure you use 1.2 (widescreen) and not .9 as your pixel aspect ratio and you should be good to go.
Again, I would avoid DV as an intermediate codec, it will really degrade your footage. You could do an export to Mpeg2 DVD instead.

Hi Bill,
What are you exporting this for? DV isn’t really a format used for anything these days.
On your export issues:
Create a new sequence with your current export settings first, then drag your old sequence to this new sequence.
Resize to fit, of course you’ll have bars on the sides since you are going from 16:9 to 4:3, export with these same settings.
