  • Solution: Method 1
    Close Premiere Pro.
Open the project file in a text editor (e.g. Windows Wordpad) and replace all instances of “I-Frame Only MPEG” with “Microsoft AVI”.
Relaunch Premiere Pro and test it.
    Solution: Method 2
If the first method doesn’t work, try the following steps (read all the steps before you begin):

Deactivate Premiere Pro if possible (this option may not be available).
    Uninstall Premiere Pro.
Download and run the Adobe Cleaner Tool at least twice, rebooting after each run.
    Reinstall Premiere Pro.
Before launching Premiere Pro for the first time, update to the latest version.
    Launch and test Premiere Pro.

    Hello,

The Director wants the 4:3 look, we’re not croppping it later.

Could You tell me why the pal proxies would be a problem in more technical terms so I can talk with the post-sup about this.

We want to be able to go back to hd later of course.

Could You tell me what Your workflow would have been for this step-by-step?
    🙂

    Really appreciate Your help

    Best regards

  • Thank You, I guess that’s what they missed then.

Your right about the subject line, I didn’t find where i could change it. But of course I’m sure sony made a great camera, my bad.

  • Thank You for Your help. Well then it seems like nothing to worry about.
I’ve done this a lot on other shoots so I know how the job is done. I just heard some people couldn’t use the backed up files after the shoot and they hade a really hard time getting it together. But seems pretty easy using the XDCAM Transfer.

The company won’t buy ShotPut Pro, otherwise it seems like a really nice software!

I’ll will go with the XDCAM Transfer, I guess production is editing in FCP. But as far as I know I can transcode to ProRes 422HQ via XDCAM Transfer. Or is there any other codec thats better for transcoding the files, I would not want to loss any quality and latitude cause of bad choice of codec, I can’t see why I would choose another codec.

Of course I’ll back up the card as well as transcoding the files. Production won’t have a external recorder. This is kind of a low budget one.. 🙂

Anything else You want to add?

Thank You all a lot for discussing this issue with me!

    Regards

    Thank You!

Will it be black borders on the sides of the video then? is there anything else I should think of.
I don’t think that our DIT is researching about this..

Resolve need a 17” screen right? This is a short film so all the money will be spent to pay the team..

Why is it going to be a problem if we go with PAL proxies?

    Thank You

    Hello,

    Thank You for Your answer.

I was planning to make proxies in 422 LT or 422 Proxy. I hear our post-production supervisor had said something about making the proxies in PAL. We’re shooting square no anamorphic this time.
I think he wants it that way cause there is no 4:3 aspect ratio for HD what I know..

What I know Mpeg streamclip kills timecode so one can’t use the timecode to synk in FCP. If I burn it in I will only see it but can’t really use it for synk. It would also be nice if a lut could be applied at the same time 🙂

    Are You familiar with this?

    Thank You

August 21, 2012 at 9:08 pm in reply to: tiff image jitter with virutal camera movment

The virtual camera movement over the stills image dosen’t look smooth, some part where it is high contrast its really noticeable. It goes back and forth in a small pattern during the key-framed camera move.

I’m afraid I can’t explain it better then that.

I’m really thankful for You advice.

    Thank You

[Dave LaRonde] “What’s the vertical & horizontal resolution of the still? You may have it scaled or moved in z-space to the point where some lines are less than 1 pixel wide. That’s not good for movement.”

    Thanks for the tip!

The image resolution is about 1300×1600. I can’t change the scale.
I’ve tested the blur and it didn’t work for me unfortunately :'(

Is there any plug-in or other good ways to tackle this?

    Thank You

  • Thanks again!

I’m definitely going to look in to PS for some clean up!

    Regards
