Thanks for the quick reply Michael.

    The specs needed are:

    MPEG2-TS or H264 (in MPEG-TS container)

    Bitrate 5-6 Mbits

    Audio MP2

    The resolutions of the files vary from: 1080×1920 to 7680 x 3240, 1080×1080 and 23040 × 1080.

I’ve used AME in the past but always had issues around the borders.

Jus tried AME and it doesn’t work with the resolutions I try to put in, even 1080×1080 does not work.

    Thanks!

It was a long time ago. The project has been lying a long time around to get fixed. I remember just using DVD SP to do the encoding, I made it fit it to a DVD – 5.

This really doesn’t answer my question. Does anyone have a correct answer for me?

I tried this before, however when I click collapse all transitions the stroke effect seems to get thinner and creates holes in the drawing.

The other thing I noticed is that leave all atributes is greyed out.

You will need to convert your footage to ProRes 422 HQ or LT. The codec your 5D shoots in is not an editing format it’s a distribution codec (hence the choppy playback). Use MPEG StreamClip to convert it to ProRes 422 and you’ll be sweet to edit, grade etc.

    Thanks John!

Your solution worked – it is quite time consuming but it seems to do the trick.

Is someone able to explain what is actually happening so I can work around this the next time?

    Thanks in advance

I wish that worked. When I apply any effect to the HUD precomp in the Comp with the footage it seems to turn off the blendmodes from the HUD Comp. It also applies the warp to the footage in the layer underneath the HUD precomp.

    It’s driving me nuts…

    Thanks for your reply Tudor.

I figured it out till that point, but I am just wondering at how to combine these layers? I read some stuff about track mattes but it confuses me a bit. Any idea how I would combine the different corrections?
