Hi Tony,

Experienced the sum of Apple’s omission in FCP but there’s hope. I’m yet to try out this with FCP:

The other workaround I have tried that works is AJA’s VTR exchange. Only the camera must roll before the capture starts. Not great for consistency. I use AJA IO, IO HD, Matrox MXO2, Declink extreme.

I’m working on other solutions that require minimal participation on the operators part ie automated capture unmanned (capture starts automatically when the camera rolls).
