Thank you Walter I read the help file, crazy thing is I was reading it before but focused on the MXF part and never got to the P2 part. I was so close to the wall I could not see it.

I know about the import P2, Gunleig was talking about a pluging that I am pretty sure does not exist. But the is now what my question is.

Are there any people using FCP 5 and P2 media? I want to know how you get the MXF files that are stored on P2 into FCP. This is about P2 MXF, NOT “MXF IMX from XDCAM”.

I posted in the FCP forum but I am hoping that some of the big brains here can share the knowledge. The more I read the more I am confused about workflow. The apple site says that FCP works with P2 to me that means it sees the cards and reads whats on them and lets you use as you please. Anything else is halfass.
