I had this very same issue – at the end of a large grading session, I discovered my timeline was set to 24fps instead of 25fps. All the posts I found said “It’s not possible to change the settings”, but in the end, I managed to do that!
You need to go to your Resolve projects directory (here it’s C:\Program Data\Blackmagic Design\Support\Resolve Disk Database\Resolve Projects\), and open the project directory.You’ll see a bunch of folders and xml files. Now, you need to edit the XML files and search for some strings and replace these with some other values:
Changes I did:
project.xml:
24 ===> 2500000000000038400000000000000000 ===> 00000000000039400000000000000000
config2.xml
24 ===> 25
24 ===> 25sessions/some-code.xml
00000000000038400000000000000000 ===> 00000000000039400000000000000000That’s it! I have my project set to 25fps and I’m delivering at this frame rate..:-) Hope this helps – I don’t see a reason why this cannot be changed in Resolve directly….

August 2, 2014 at 3:00 pm in reply to: Mocha remove module doesn’t work – screencast includedHmmm, thanks! This explains a lot. I’ll get thru that and come back in the case more questions arise. Thanks!

Thanks, that works great! However, I’ll need to do the same with logos later – is there an easy way to do this with an image?

Thanks for help.
Probably my last question would be, how to split the image to be able to key head+hair only and the rest of the body. I tried to just duplicate the footage with keylight applied and applying a mask to each of the layers, which ended with a small gap between the masks, even when the two masks overlapped. Do I need to precompose the layers somehow or?

Thanks for replies. I posted the clip in my question, here it is again for download:
It was shot on DSLR and than exported to h264, so don’t take the quality that much into account – I’m more concerned of some generic guidelines how to make the job easier next time – obviously, shooting on Blackmagic 4k Cinema Camera we own instead of using DSLR should help…

Thanks for reply Dave.
I don’t seem to be able getting good hair even when I focus on the hair only. Is there any trick to make that better? And, as we are supposed to do more of this kind of “hairy” stuff, are there some reccomendations for lighting etc. to make it easier next time?

Thanks Paul, I was able to delete the actor by bringing a frame to Photoshop, creating a clean plate, bringing it back to AE and motion-track the background.
However, my goal is to learn Mocha, as it might make things way easier in some situations. I don’t see what I’m doing wrong…
