    Color will be only 4% slower with the GTX 285 than with the ATI 4870, but it will be very slow with the 120.

    But for Color you’ll have to connect it to the 285. If you think you are going back and forth frequently, I’d get a DVI switcher.

    AFAIK the Mac version should always be from EVGA.

    We have one and it has pretty good cooling. We have a flashed PC version too in another station and I’m under the impression it’s running hotter. The 285 is really eating lots of power and running pretty hot. I wouldn’t overclock it for the sake of reliability.

    How do you know 24 Gb is not enough? Which programs will you need?

    The knob is on the grey, rounded plastic box at the far end of the card slots. The whole box tilts a bit if you press it from the card side and frees the cards by moving the metal bar.

    I don’t think you can make it without the AJA HDP2, but it works well for me with the Blackmagic Decklink HD (I use it for output only).
