Thanks, but if you scroll down the page to the adobe logo it says that 77.56 is the latest adobe certified quadro driver:
https://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_27118
I just want to know if I can use a more current one without problems – f.ex. the 91.36 or maybe one 8x.xx
Thanks.

Thanks Tim.
Sorry for not making myself clear.
I want to know if it is safe to use a more current driver than the 77.56. The 77.56 is accordingly to Nvidia’s site certified for PPRO. The latest driver is afaik. 91.36, but I will not install any other than 77.56 if I’m not sure they are ok.
Thanks again.

Hi,
I have never had any titles crash in my PPRO 2 on 3 different PC’s. I find it not the ‘fastest tool in the shed’, but no crash yet.

I believe that this card is the most used and recommended for all NLE’s. Not sure why it is not on Adobes site.

Hi,
I have tried to send clips to Audition and worked with it there an reimported it and it workes fure.
/ine.
In the “total training session” reg. Audition I saw that it should be to possible take a whole videofile – avi f.ex. and import the audio into Audition and edit the whole adio of the file, and somehow integrate it back into the file.I have not tried this myself yet, but it looks like a ool feature.

Hi,
I have worked with both Avid, Vegas and Premiere.
I think it comes down to different things. First of all it is a matter of what you like, GUI, workflow, shotcuts etc. I found Avid hard to learn, it was for me imho quite a lot different from the others. I have Vegas too, but had some small performanceissues. Perhaps I would have stuck with Vegas if I did not have theese small issues.
I am now exploring PPRO 2.0. Have worked a lot with the 6.5 in the good “A/B” days 😉 and liked it a lot then. I don’t know FCP, but I have the feeling that all theese packages have somewhat the same capabilities.
I would download some trialversions and check for yourself what you like. You can look at specs. and that is fine, but at the end of the day it is the actual work you get done that matters.
You could make a small project in all of the packages to see which one is best for you in practilcal work.
I like PPRO a lot, especially the combination with Audition where you can edit the sound directly in audition, and that is so cool if you like I often have sound that needs a bit tweaking.
It is very hard to tell you what to get, try out yourself…..
Just my 2 cents – hope it helps you on.

Hi,
I just tried this on my 2.0 the same way: import mpeg-file, export to avi and reimport – playback on TL just fine. Could be related to the type of file maybe?

Hi,
Thanks for your post.
I have tried all the different settings in preview, they are all the same.
I tried to just output on the PC screen w/o DV device enabled – the same. I tried to have the taskmanager open to see if some bottlenecks came up but none that I can see. When I playback for example a rendered file (which is perfect) in wmp it is perfect, so my guess is some kind of windows setting that is bothering Vegas once in a while. I have never seen this with any other NLE before, but I have seen so much else that I don’t have with Vegas 😉
It’s a puzzle to me 🙂 – but as I said, not a showstopper at all…/Ulf
