Every situation is different because of varying acoustics.

I have found the Audio-Technica AT8024 works very well in one situation. Here’s my review.

SD cards can get funky, if you haven’t formatted the card in a while. Best practices is to format before a new shoot.

Can you off-load the files via USB from your Zoom?

Thanks so much for your spot on analysis of the problem and suggested solutions.

Soumendra, a countryman e6 mic that you wear over your ear would get the mic as close as possible to you. It’s so small that it is not visibly distracting. Notice how I use it in this old video tutorial.

You will have more room ring because your space is bigger and YOU”RE SHOUTING!!!!!!, but there will be a noticeable improvement. Here’s a performance hint: Try conveying your enthusiasm not with volume, but with expression.

it’s a 1 second clip. I can’t even tell what’s going on.

As I said before. I think it’s in your playback system. The file you posted before that I listened to had no problems.

Dunno if this helps, but it just occurred to me that I ran into a situation where the end of a processed file was being cut off.

There was some latency due to the processing. When I added more space past the end of the clip, I got a finished file without the tail cut off.

Thanks for covering ALL of the bases.

Adriano….it’s not real fur, but he blimp by itself, will knock down most of the wind.

I usually want to try to knock the wind off before it takes up space in the recording itself.

Good headphones will let your ears know if the low frequency content is a problem. It may take a few tries before your brain can make sense out of what your ears are hearing.
