Thanks Jeff, you were totally right. The whole transfer only took about an hour and a half to my Lacie, and a little less than that to my new iMac since I was using USB 3.0. Must’ve just been how it first analyzed the transfer time and estimated it. Thanks!

I just did one clip at a time. Pulled from the hard drive, not a sequence that was sent to Compressor. Converted to ProResLT, audio disabled.

Does my DV image off the tape lose any information when it’s being sent out of the deck via an analog component connection, versus via Firewire which is straight digital? Or am I not looking at this from the right angle?
