    I put the original mp4 file in AE and rendered out as a DV50 movie and it works, big file size but working at least!

    I used Mpegstreamclip to convert to .mov, the same settings as you have on the picture. Except I chose to do nothing with the scale and I hooked off interlaced.
    The size is not an issue.

    I got After Effects yes.
    But after I have converted it to the .mov file it’s impossible to see anything at all on the movie. It doesn’t work in the players nor After Effects.

    Yeah, that’s what I thought. But after converting it to a .mov file the whole movie is just random colours and choppy. It’s impossible to see what happens.

    I converted to Apple ProRes 422, and it still won’t work.
