I think you’re right bout my OS en adobe application. AFter reinstalling adobe aplication everything went smood, was kinda hard to believe

As far as i could tell there was’nt actually a way to tell that the endresult after converting was lossless

i just took the converted footage and imported it into premiere pro and after fx just to testdrive the export quality. and i have to say..supurb!!

regarding the plug-in (cineform) i can see some cineform plugins back into premiere pro: effects> cinefrom hd collor correction (just 1 e.g.)

so far so good i’d say…thnx for the confirming my thoughts, now i’ll start editing. If I may have a problem again, I’ll post a new thread.

about adobe cs3: in projectsettings i can choose the hdvcpro settings, does that mean that i have the updated version?

regarding my footage: the storage on my xhdd via the mac did maintain the mxf file structure

regarding converting 1: first i couldn’t import mxf files at all, but now it suddenly can (after re-installing adobe cs3), the bad part is that i cant see the footage while playing back in premiere pro cs3

regarding converting 2: i luckily have cineform aspect and via the hdlink i was able to convert the files to simple AVI format.

final: now i’m able to import, see, hear and edit the footage but there’s a but! a big BUT 😉 HAHA..

when i drag the footage into the timeline a thin red line appears above, which indicates i still have to render and can not edit in realtime

however cineform says it integrates its own render engine, is it possible to see this plug-in in premiere pro? cuz i cant find it

and above that despite the thin red line above it seems i’m able to edit and playback in realtime

if this all is no biggie and means that i can just continue i have one final question: WILL THIS IN ANYWAY EFFECT THE ENDRESULT OF THE FOOTAGE AFTER EXPORTING IT?

ehm i use a hp pc dual core 3,54 gb ddr, windows xp service pack 3
and adobe premiere pro cs3

in the meanwhile i’ve found a lot of info bout importing p2 cards footage. I got somebody to help me out, i didn’t notice the button on the left side of the panasonic to be recognized as a 1394 device.

as i mentioned i got somebody to help me out, but that person has a MAC computer and via his MAC, he helped me store the footage via p2 content management system directly on my external hard drive,without going through a FCP

right now i have a bunch of MXF files mixed, so i have a lot to sort out. that’s no biggie but what need to know right now

is: HOW TO IMPORT THESE MXF FILES INTO PREMIERE PRO CS3..?

i understand that I need to convert it..can you tell me with what program i can convert the files (pls an affordable one and or reasonable quality)

and to what file extension i need to convert the mxf files? to .mov or something else?

cuz the footage consists of video, audio, proxy elements. when i want to convert do i just select the video footage or do i have to add the right audio with the right video footage first before inputting in a converter program?

i know a lot of questions…so i hope you can help. MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

a slight correction in my post before this one

i found out that i forgot one driver to install in stated me to use a usb 2.0 to install

after connecting the usb 2.0 to the hvx200 and the pc, i clicked on install and still prompts me for connecting the usb 2.0

does anybody know what’s wrong?
