  • Great. will try.
I can see how that watching something else thing will be very useful for more advanced parenting.
Whilst I wait for nodes, and multi-processing… sigh

  • Great start thanks!
I was hoping for a amount of random scale slider.
But then I had to have some circles be a fixed size
still good to set a challenge; always better to be an expression if leaving behind at a freelance gig

  • I was thinking textIndex-1 might work but if that works, the check is in the post.

    Use the rotate tool.
In fact this is the only time to ever use the rotate tool. But it is freehand only. you don’t seem to beable to rotate 3d axis at all, even with a precomp.
You have to precomp, make it perpendicular, rotate it then rotate the precomp.

Oh, just found alt shift , and.
or AltShift<, AltShift> as an easier way to remember
    or Alt+Shift+CommaOnTheKeyboardNotOnTheNumPad, Alt+Shift+PeriodOnTheKeyboardNotOnTheNumPad,

Thatis great. 16 years in and still a new thing every day!

Because it is the Composition panel, it does this ALPHABETICALLY and not in the order of tabs in the Timeline. More confusingly, It goes A-Z, then a-z (ie Uppercase then lowercase) so you have to put your TABS in that order for it to make sense, and keep clicking on the Composition window, thus possibly accidentally moving things. But good to know

April 15, 2016 at 9:38 am in reply to: Play Pause Stop Spacebar

I am replying to this old thread,as the app has now been updated and we finally have this functionality, to use the RAM preview like a regular editor. I love how AE can now playback footage in realtime (on my 3xioFX RAID set up anyway).

    To get it working:
    In the Preview panel:
    -Select Spacebar from shortcut
    -uncheck cache before playback
    -Range = entire duration
-Uncheck If caching play cached frames
-CHECK Move time to Preview time

very useful for adding GFX at the right time quickly.

Now if we can get audio scrubbing to work smoothly while holding ctrl we will be there!
