Awesome! Thank you very much. I thought it might be possible, but I wasn’t sure how. I appreciate your help.

  • OK, humor me, por favor– what is a Unity environment?

  • Thanks dude, it has never occurred to me to do that. You know, life would be so much easier if there was a save as, export, or a similar function in the media tool; but I suppose there’s some reason why there isn’t. Thanks for your help, I’m going to d’load media mover today and check it out. And if that doesn’t work, I’m going to try your folder management method. Thanks again– Travis

  • OK, this may be a dumb question, so forgive my ignorance…
I looked at the Media mover site, and everything I saw mentioned compatability with Meridien based systems. I work on a Media Composer Adrenaline, and it was my understanding that the Adrenaline replaced the Meridien board. Will Media Mover still work with an Adrenaline based system? Also, although I am going to download the trial version of Media Mover and check it out (if it is in fact compatable with my system),…is it at all possible to back-up media for a specific project without using additional software? Thanks– and thanks for your advice Michael.

Save graphics in Photoshop as PSD with transparent background> import into Avid> click options on import dialog box> and under Alpha, select “invert existing”, this should import PSD without background as a matte key. There may be a sexier way to do this, but this is how I do it and it works for me. Good luck.

That’s a great idea, that I didn’t know was possible. How do you do it…assign Title tool presets to function keys, that is.
    Thanks,
