David, as I am setting up my FCP timeline, I set my audio/video settings to the ProRes 1080p 30, but my sequence keeps defaulting the aspect ratio to HDTV 1080i (I don’t see an option for my size so I selected custom and put in 1920×1080). What am I missing here? -T

oh -and my intent was to output h.264 to an Iomega 40G PMP and have my friend buy HDMI cables to hook up to his HD display. Does that sound o.k.?

    Hi Dave,
Wow -thanks. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out. You hit the nail right on the head -the client’s expectations far exceed their budget. This started as just a small web video for a friend of a friend. I guess you could say no good deed goes unpunished 😉

Thanks again for your thorough and very informative reply.

    Best,
    Tracy

Thanks Russ -that makes sense! Now, do you know how I can edit something in 6.0 on a timeline and then give it to an editor using 5.0 and still have it work?
