i looked around. and found a CS3Clean Script.

it deletes all cs3 apps, plugins and all.
but at least i managed to install afx afterwards..

dunno if i get your problem right.
can you not simply put the crisp stuff in the foreground?

if not. can you use track matte? put your crisp stuff in a separate comp & use this as the matte for the heatwave-precomp?
