By the way, I got a nice response from Neatvideo and they told me that Apple is working on it and he thought that it would be in 10.0.8
If you contact them they have a some links about it the will e-mail to you with a patch.
I have not tried it yet.

I hear you. It’s frustrating because I really like the program but what will kill it faster than all the changes they made will be it’s bugginess.
When money is on the line you just simply needs things to work.

I just noticed this myself (purple flash). It’s a shame because the Neatvideo plugin is really good (or was)
I also notice that the render of Neatvideo takes forever : (

It’s kind of how I see X going, young independents on small budgets making their films.
The price on high end cameras have dropped through the floor. Just run out and get a 4k camera and start shooting. Now everybody and their mama is out the making a film.
I may be alone, but I feel like this is the main market they were looking at. From a guy like that to Documentaries.
They are sitting ready for it to. Red raw, Sony F 55, DSLR like that guy used all play well with X
Not that they can’t play with others.
Big houses may not be using it but it doesn’t matter to people like that guy. His film is done and out there.

I agree, I see a lot of old fcp and old mc at stations in my town and in a way I’m not really surprised at all.
People are comfortable with the programs and they are paying their bills and execs don’t have a clue what’s new out there and don’t want to spend money if they don’t have to.
At some point 7 won’t work anymore and they will have to move. By then X will have improved even more.
That’s when I want to see which way they go.
Shane brings up a good point about starting over and the learning curve, only X is a quicker learn then most things. -
I got you, but my overall point was that there were many things that added together made it faster for me.
I listed 5 things, what about the other 4?
Maybe Apple looked and said nobody is using this patch panel for almost 10 years accept Tony West so lets get rid of it : )

That’s what I thought, you had a problem with how I said it.
I call it patching because fcp calls it a patch panel that you are clicking on. I don’t see that as broadening the meaning.
So, you first select the position of of the clip and then you select the track via the patch panel (a 26 or whatever)
That extra patch panel step is not there for me in X and I don’t miss it.
Each time you click on that patch panel those are clicks I’m not doing.
