yes, finally giving up and rebuilding edit in Premiere Pro. Annoying as all get out. I keep getting …”object can’t be nil” crash record. I’ve tried using the backup library, a clone of the library. All was working just fine even after the update to 10.1.3, no edits were done on the project. I was able to pull in early fcpxml to get a new library, but it is now crashing when I try and copy compressor filter from one audio clip to another. Same issues are happening on another box, which I stupidly had upgraded to 10.1.3. this is a major drag.
I’ve ditched the prefs, un activated plug ins, got rid of thumbs, render files yadda ya. X really needs a repair function for this crap or at least something that will point to the issue instead of the crash record that no one can understand
this is the standard error coming back Application Specific Information:
*** -[__NSArrayM insertObject:atIndex:]: object cannot be nil

I was beginning to think it was only me that couldn’t get the expensive keyer to work. Exactly the nightmare I’ve been battling for 4 days. Finally down to rendering out a 4444 w alpha and trying to animate, rotobrush tracke matte etc etc on the aberrations. I have yet to be able to pull a clean render with primatte keyer on any system. The plugin hasn’t been updated since last June 12 & only for cs6 install.
I have tried most everything, using rd3, different settings, 4444′ uncompressed, nothing but disappointment every time. I’m going to work on painting or masking the blotches which appear sometime to be like a chunk of the matte just moved on the x axis, other times, it bites right into the matte. I haven’t had any luck with my former i7 2.2 with 6750m or my retina 2.8 w 650m both cards with 1gb, ridiculous long render time & for something that won’t work.
It artifacts on small parts, big parts of an image cut to key, but mainly around areas of fine detail. for now it’s a hi-con cleanup or animating masks.
Thing is primatte is the only thing I’ve found to deal with frizzy green soaked hair, but it can’t get a clean render.
I realize this post is a year old, but appears to be about the only one dealing with this issue. It is definitely a plug-in issue. Will post back if I discover anything that works.

TV show that must print to tape delivered on FCP7, which I can do if I stay in FCP7 or Premiere but would really like to originate in X, just out trying to find if anyone has a line on X to 7 fcpxml translation that actually works for 720p60.

Try creating a new project in CS6 then from your new project, import the CS5.5 sequence you want. I’ve had similar issues where it wouldn’t open but I could import it.

Hi Matthew
I use the extract function (Application-.sequence-extract in keboard shortcuts) and set a keyboard shortcut to do that on the sequence, just as you described, an in then an out then extract.
You have to have the tracks you wish to affect activated. I typically lock and deactivate any track I don’t want to affect. Also PPro has a ripple cursor that I set a shortcut for as well. Hope that helps

I had all sorts of problems with CS6 and Lion on my MacbookPro Quad i7 w/16gb ram. Everything from flashing white frames from Speedgrade renders, to scaled clips shaking, 422HQ clips created in aftereffects rendering out just as a green frame, to clips rendering out what looked like an opacity wipe on half of it, to kernel crashes and on and on. I spent a lot of time scratching my head. Many issues I couldn’t find any posts about anywhere.
I upgraded to Mountain Lion and haven’t experienced the crashes and the last few renders seemed to be without issues, and can use the OpenCL hardware acceleration, so far, but still take a long time on pretty straightforward sequences having only some scaled video, some text.
Regarding your glitching, whenever I scaled something, had keys or mattes I’m using, I render out at “maximum render quality’ and if I have the time, maximum depth, then go somewhere for a long while. Even though I’d have the previews set for 422HQ, I stopped using those for export. Sometimes I still have to go back and crop or put a matte on the scaled items because I’ll get these vibrating edges. Don’t know if that’s of any help since you’re on Snow Leopard but, for what it’s worth, I have had much more stability with CS6 after ML upgrade.
To resolve the green frame issue, I just ended up rendering out new files out of Aftereffects of the problem clips as a 422 instead of 422HQ and at least was able to get it to render video instead of green panel. Haven’t the foggiest why.
