Thanks beeny – I was looking at the Amvona site earlier and most of the user comments pointed out the wrinkles as well, but as you mentioned I guess that applies to all muslin and fabric GS.

The more I come across the issue of wrinkles the more I start to lean towards the foam backed solution may just be the way to go. Of course I’ll have to cut back on the size I can purchase but that could be a fair compromise.

Very nice product. I’ll add that to my list for comparisons. So

So here is what I have on my comparison list:

    Tube Tape
    EEFX
    Botero
    Lastolite
    Studio Dynamics

If anyone has any comments to compare these it would be greatly appreciated. Budget is a bit of an issue so I’m currently leaning toward the a 9×20 Muslin from TubeTape which comes with mounts for under $200.

Not really sure about the downverting format. I was just using it b/c I thought I liked the effect I was achieving when working with models. The problem I’m having now is, I love the look, but can’t quite figure out how to interpret the footage so that I can retime it.

If I’m retiming a model to 20% of it’s original speed, the “dead frame” is way too obvious and I’m getting a very jaggery effect.

thanks for the tip. I’m playing around with the masks but think I’m gonna go the 3dmax route with Glu3d….but yes the mattes I was playing with came from complex brush types in photoshop.

    thanks again.
