    Hi John

    Thanks for the reply again.

It took me a awhile to work out what I was doing wrong but I got there eventually.

I’m pulling more videos off tape at the moment so I’m going to write things down (that work) so that they become second nature.

Hi John. Hope you are well.

I have another odd problem which I cannot understand.

I modified a video and re-titled it with a different name but every time I try to burn it to a DVD it [Vegas Architect] reverts back to, and burns, the original video file. I hope I explained that reasonably well. Can you help?

    Thanks

    Thanks John.

I’m just up having a very late cup of tea – can’t sleep.

    Many thanks.

    Hi John.

Thanks – you’re a star, you have made such a difference!

I’m sure I have a few more questions. Are you willing to answer them as and when they come up?

    Regards

    Hi John

I have a lot to learn but, at least I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

One last question. The 15 minute video I managed to burn onto the DVD appears to be about 41MB. On that basis (if it relates directly to this) could you advise what the maximum time length of video that I should realistically get onto a standard 4.7GB dvd?

    Thanks

    Hi John

I have done that a few times and I feel I am missing something that should, by now, be pretty obvious.

My understanding is that I should finish by burning two folders on the DVD, one called AUDIO_TS (which is ’empty’) and the other VIDEO_TS with VIDEO_TS and VTS_ files in it.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have had the same suggestion from a friend. Unfortunately, I don’t have Windows 7. I have had a go at following the Sony Architect manual but it isn’t clear how to burn the DVD.

I found an on-line trial – DVD Burning Xpress – which, at least, gave me a simple way to burn a DVD which is all I want to do.

However, I’m still game for suggestions.

    Thanks

    Tony
