    Hi Everyone
It was satisfing that I was able to get Godfrey up and running with his 1082.
I think it was smart of tascam to build a standard mixer with surface controls.
It can control 8 tracks at a time —-up to 32 total with its surface control.
I can’t see why every other company who designs and sell mixers would not have something like it in their portfolio. The CS tech person you want to speak with over at Tascam is David Hummel.
We worked together to find out that there is a bug with FCP 5 and the 1082. Once you get it up and running you must make sure you have the software mixer in FCP open. Then you can hide it if it takes up too much real estate on your monitors. So far I haven’t any trouble since keeping it open.
If you do not -the 1082 may lose its control over FCP 5.

Sorry this is new gear so I haven’t really tested it yet with STP.
I was happy just to get it running inside FCP 5
If any one has used it with STP I’d like to hear their results.
I plan to create a document that will walk you through the process to get the FW-1082 to operate with FCP 5.
Tascam does not have a pdf outling how to get the 1082 up and running with FCP 5 -at least not the last time I checked which was yesterday with Godfrey
You can email me if you are having trouble with the fw-1082
For the price this mixer is a must if you do not own something similar.
