Hey Jeremy,
I sent the offending file to Compressor out out FCP and it plays back in QT fine. When i copy the QT movie to a flash drive and attempt to play it back (in QT), it stutters, stops and goes haywire. Any thoughts? -

Will something like MPEG Streamclip suffice for converting? If not, what would be your suggestion?

That’s beaut, mate! Makes perfect sense. Aside from the plugin, should i simply send everything through Compressor and will i be able to avoid this mov sync issue if i do?

Apols if this ? is dumb: if the files on the card are already .mov, y is there such an issue with exporting them out of the timeline in the same format and y such a lengthy process for importing?

Ok. So instead of pulling the clips directly from the sd card, i need to use log and transfer?

Ok. I have the same issue and tried the Sequence fix, but to no avail. Not entirely sure what “duping the sequence” entails. Oh, the footage is from a Canon (dslr) and seq is set to match footage
System is:
OS X 10.6.3 FCP 7.0
2.4 ghz intel core duo
3gb 800 mhz ddr sdram -
Here’s my question:
When I got my new tower, FCP6 was running on it already. Why then won’t it allow an install?
