I went to the link but there is no category for the Creative Cloud feature requests. I don’t understand why a Team license would not have a collaboration feature. Especially with remote TV and Film productions, Avid has interplay sphere, but it is not priced for smaller collaborative projects. I tried Webex etc but none worked very well so I’m stuck using a Skype connection with my iPad camera facing the video monitor with the sound turned up. I works, but is not very elegant. It seems to me that there must be a very big market with freelancers, independent producers etc. who need realtime feedback from clients and nobody is addressing this need. I thought Creative Cloud Team would have this. I’m disappointed.

Problem solved. Boris contacted me and evidently one of their emails did wind up in my junk mail folder. Needless to say it was the email with the link which now appears to be downloading the tutorial.

I don’t know how it wound up in the junk folder. I never put any Boris email address in the list and their other emails came through fine.

At any rate they fixed it and for that I am grateful. My faith in Boris is restored. I was rash in my judgement. Apologies to Boris.

I just noticed that the confirmation email says the download URL is “NA”.

Now I know why I like Sapphire better. Plus Sapphire (for me) is a whole lot more intuitive. But Avid FX came with the Symphony upgrade so I want to learn it.

VERY frustrating.

Why do they fix things that “ain’t broke”.

I’m loving the Symphony most of the time, but hating some of the changes.

Help! After two decades of having assistant editors to do the digitizing and exports, I find myself alone. I thought I knew how to do an OMF from years ago. Boy was that a mistake.

MAC Symphony 6.0.2 OS 10.7.x 16gig Ram

I need to do OMFs. I changed the format settings to 23.976p NTSC Aspect Ratio 16:9 YCBCr601 720×486. Then export “Send to QT movie:, OMF 2.0 Include all video/data, include all audio tracks, export Method: consolidate, 60 frame handles, render video effects, Transcode video to DV 25p 411 OMF, Audio consolidate media, use same folder as OMF File, embed audio in OMF

I’m getting an Export is cancelled warning (sequence Name) is an AMA clip that cannot be exported AS OMF.

I had transcoded all the footage to DNxHD 175 before editing. What am I doing wrong?

Boy do I miss Betacam SP.
