    Hi Timo,

    As Jack said, this is actually fairly simple. You don’t need the motion tracker, you just need to use keyframes and null objects to speed things up.

    Using that clip as an example, you simply make up one right angle in AE using stroke on a solid (use on transparent for paint style); duplicate the layer and rotate one of them 180º and position them to suit.

    Create a new null layer and parent the 2 layers to the null using the parent pickwhip. Now animate the layers using keyframes in the null’s position properties. Position and scale will affect the right angle lines uniformly. But you can also keyframe the two angles separately by their own position properties (meaning you can also move and scale them independently of the null).

    You can also use a second null and parent the map(s) to it so you can position them wherever you want for the rapid pans, and parent your first null to the second so they stay more or less together.
