    this is actually pretty basic.

i want to show lots of “maps” and something like a courser which is motion from one map to an other.
then the courser should fixed on a map and zoom in.

the maps move in 2d with a motion blur. the cursor can be created in AE or photoshop. you can download maps from google and experiment with AE’s transform function.

i hope someone could help me or give me a link for an tutorial

    i did a quick search, here’s a tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nTZh7tsXBs

ok.. thanks… but this wasnt i really need…

the problem arent the basics… i know how to zoom in and change the position… and lots more..
the problem is how to use the motion tracker for the courser to set it on a fixed position, because when the map is moving the set position of the courser is changing… and the motion tracker is the easiest way…

the other problem is the courser self… i want to use the 3d stroke plugin for the courser to animate the lines. but how can i animate 2 diffrent lines in 2 ways which are both on one layer…

    Hi Timo,

As Jack said, this is actually fairly simple. You don’t need the motion tracker, you just need to use keyframes and null objects to speed things up.

Using that clip as an example, you simply make up one right angle in AE using stroke on a solid (use on transparent for paint style); duplicate the layer and rotate one of them 180º and position them to suit.

Create a new null layer and parent the 2 layers to the null using the parent pickwhip. Now animate the layers using keyframes in the null’s position properties. Position and scale will affect the right angle lines uniformly. But you can also keyframe the two angles separately by their own position properties (meaning you can also move and scale them independently of the null).

You can also use a second null and parent the map(s) to it so you can position them wherever you want for the rapid pans, and parent your first null to the second so they stay more or less together.

If you gave more of an idea of what you’re after, I could be more specific.

    Cheers,

    Tom
