Robert, if you have a newer computer running Win 7 I share this warning with you.

I used the Foundrys Camera Tracker for years on my Mac Pro with no issues. I then switched to a brand new Sandy Bridge based HP Z820. I found that Camera Tracker would consistently hang when I tried the “Solve” process.
After spending several weeks trouble shooting with the Foundry techs, they were unable to figure out what caused the hanging. I switched to Syntheyes which is a much more powerful product used on many feature films. It works great!

Kevin, from what I experienced, it wasnt really the stacking order that was the problem (as far as I can tell), it was the need for a black slug to be placed under every video that was being track matted.Not a very intuitive way to do things. Why does it need the black slug on the bottom?

1. Top layer – Rampant Design animated track matte with alpha
2. Middle layer – Video with PrP track matte effect assigned to it.
3. Bottom layer – black slug

Evil Edison at the Adobe forum came up with the solve. I had to create a video track with black on it under the source video track being track matted.

Thats good to know Dennis. A tight edit schedule could be adversely impacted if you have a lot of files needing converting. To bad PrP doesn’t support them natively.

I really hate it when I get things organized into folders and some software messes it all up. That also happens when I use Project Manager. It takes all files and dumps them into one folder. I made a request on that one all right.
