They are still working on it. Remember. PrP has not been officially released. And besides, a 2 frame delay is not a problem for me.

As someone who has worked at video production facilities. I always save a “master” in either the Prores or the DNxHD format. That way you can have a high resolution master that you can copy and convert to any codec with negligible loss. And it wont be as humongous as an uncompressed file.

I don’t get why editing a simple text string of flashy titles = having to open AE.

Because that is what AE does best, motion graphics. But granted there is a learning curve, as with any powerful software.

Maybe you should reconsider FCP X, it sounds like it does the kind of things you want to do.

Chris Im glad it worked for you. But Im just passing along requirements for utilizing AJA Kona 3 drivers when they are available. I am not familiar with anything related to BMD since we know my feeling about them :D.

FYI, I did update my Red users posting to reflect the changes made here. Thanks!

Ken, I think the frustration they are expressing is becuase AJA has EOL the LHe.

I understand why you are not happy about the Lhe. But personally I would never buy anything from BMD. Their products are not as well constructed and their customer / tech support is not even close to what AJA offers. Obsolescence is just a part of life.

Im very familiar with Adobe Transmit. It means you can use just regular Adobe sequences (CUDA and all) and get HD SDI play out thru AJA, BM or Matrox hardware into an engineering monitor or tape machine. Adobe provided a hook for third party vendors to their video stream thus allowing a simpler and more stabile way to send video out to their hardware. It suffers from none of the issues users had with previous version of CS Premiere. Final drivers still pending, but then again CS6 hasnt been released yet. 😀

Im still surprised on how different our experience is with CS6. I haven’t come across a lot of folks experiencing the same or less performance than 5.5

Eric, the only hardware boost you get from a graphics card that supports CUDA is listed below. Thats it.

What does Premiere Pro accelerate with CUDA?

Here’s a list of things that Premiere Pro CS5 and later can process with CUDA:

    some effects
    scaling
    deinterlacing
    blending modes
    color space conversions
