Marcus – this is definitely not related to the color value itself, it should work independently from what color is applied. Look for other flaws/mismatches in the setup, or share .aep for inspection.

Hey Dan, just curious – what is the actual complexity in your opinion, that does not allow copying keyframes and pasting them directly with scripting? Why all the ‘keyframes stuff’ is required to deal with?

Adirai, what you could try to do – is select all keyframes, and trigger app.executeCommand with copy/paste value. But of course, this might work only in cases where GUI is applicable.

Keep in mind that by selecting these and triggerring the copying, then you need to deselect, make selection of other property active, etc.

Nicolas, there are few things to clarify here:

1. Are you calling ‘obj1’ & ‘obj2’ as content objects inside the shape layer, or is it two different layers?
2. Do you want obj2 to have relatively different opacity from obj1? Meaning, if you adjust obj1, obj2 would update?

For simplicity, it would be easier if we speak actual ‘opacity values’ on objects. Cheers!

Hey Paul, thanks for positive response!

At this point, I don’t have it broken down into actionable list of tasks, but in general – there are significant amount of variables to consider.

From data structure, to templated output design and multiple case scenarios approaching. The whole idea of this build was to make it fully automated, which at this point is already reached.

Everything from A to Z is achieved in AE. After data is ready, script execution builds render-ready .aeps. I have an idea to build tutorial series into this, in order to share how it can be achieved – and potentially, find shortcuts in the process – as its always possible to refactor and improve!

Hey Malcolm, from what you said above, I guess running a script, even with purchased license, wouldn’t be a possibility for you to use, due to GUI. Unless, Andrei could prepare some sort of ‘non-gui’ option for an extra charge? On a different note, if remote server uses not only aerender, running a script before producing a render would be possible, requiring proper implementation into a workflow (which you would need anyways)

The question here is also about how you want it to work. Based on what I understand, you would prefer using already installed handwriting fonts on a machine, and just reveal those texts in similar to write-on effect (assuming, you would hand-pick handwriting fonts only) . Is this correct?

Hey Filip, there are some other things to take into account.
1. Are layers scaled in any ways or all 100% original size?
2. What type of layers are they – media, or variety of different ones? (Including shapes/texts, etc)
3. Are anchor points changed or originally in the center?

Your assumption are spot on and it is possible to do that, just its required to take into account on above. Based on your answers I could provide you a way to deal with it.

Remi, as a workaround, you could instead define a wiggle in the slider, and just control numeric values by assigning other slider values (for speed and influence).

I tried Dan’s example in CC2019 and it also does not work though.
