I have the same issue. It’s quite annoying to find that the colour correction isn’t included in the render after waiting 1.5 hours.

I tried turning off the work area bar, but it still loops.

I still have this problem as well in CC. Whether or not I have the loop button pushed, it loops. It’s pretty annoying I must admit.

I think I just figured it out.

You need to drag the yellow marker on the timeline well to the right of your last clip. Now my playhead stops at the end of the last clip.

I believe that yellow marker sets the rendering area. I don’t use it PP, but I use it often in AE.

EDIT: Sorry, I was wrong. It seemed to work once or twice, but now it’s looping again.

    I’m having the same issue.

    CS 6.0

Loop is unchecked in the Program monitor. I only have one timeline open.

Do you intend to make a dvd? If so, what you need is what you have–a separate video and audio stream. Your dvd authoring program, whichever one you use, should let you import both. It will then burn them onto a dvd all synced up.

If, however, you want to upload your video to Youtube or just watch it on your computer, you probably want to export to something like h.264.

    thanks. I’ll look into.

Quite happy with the Elgato Turbo. I had to download an upgrade to get it working but it now appears to output a Youtube ready video about 5x faster than fcp normally would.

I ended up ordering the Elgato from the online Mac store last night. If it works as advertised, I should get lots of use out of it.

IN the meantime I’ll read more about the MXO2. Just in case I ever get a MacBook Pro.

I have some done some compressing speed tests and I can compress the EX1 footage to 640×380(or whatever is) with single-pass quality at about a 1:1.5 ratio, in other words, 10 minutes of footage compresses in 15 minutes. If I put the Elgato in the mix, I think that’ll be fast enough turn around to suit the client.

    Thanks, Craig.

I’ve been reading about the Elgato. It sounds pretty nifty.

    I look into it further.

    Thanks for the response.

Would that take less time to compress?
