  • Hi Brian: cool idea you’re working on. I’m still new to Motion but from my AE & Pr experience I would build as much of those elements in Motion as possible, export out MOVs of each one (possibly) and use those as your “page” layers.

    When I’ve had to animate DVD or magazine covers or photos, I like them all to have the same frame size, hence my MOV suggestion – that way it’s easier to animate in a 3D world.

    First of all, thanks for all the responses.

    I did output a PIC seq at 1920×1080 and brought it through QT to make a movie file for FCP. That worked.

    I’ve got the new Mac/Intel 2×2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 4 GB RAM, FCP 6, and AE7.

    AE7 still crashes every now and again. My comp consists of 3 layers of video (1920×1080 QTs) slowed down, 8 layers of text with animated glows.
