Or do what Dave does, which he failed to mention. Render out in AE and import that file into PPro. That works every time, whether in 2019, 2018, 2017……. CS5, CS4…..

Since I had to upgrade my OS to be able to run CC 2019, I went Mojave – from Yosemite. Been running well for over a month. Only issues myself and a coworker came across is I sometimes have issues renaming PPro sequences. Not sure why. Coworker discovered grids in AE slow AE to a crawl – you have to make the grid so small that they are basically dots is the workaround. Oh! And if you go to Windows shares, depending on the SMB level, you may get some slow downs transferring to the network share – but, like I said, it depends on the SMB level used on the network share. I think it’s SMB 1 that has the slow down. The network thing actually started inMac OS Sierra. I don’t think Apple is going to fix it. But if you were on Sierra and had no issues, then no problem.
But those were the only major issues so far.
I am on a late 2013 Mac Pro. So is my coworker.
Good Luck!

Sorry, this will most likely be absolutely no help, but I have seen that a couple times in the past. I recall just resending, or quitting Adobe Apps and reopening, or restarting the computer. It’s been awhile since I ‘ve had it happen… I’m sure you’ve done all the above.

Oh, and with those cards and that computer… I am assuming you don’t have anything plugged into either one of your PCIe 3.0 slots. If you do, you may not get full performance out of the card.

GTX 1050’s are around $150 now. Pretty inexpensive. 1060 around $200. And up and up.
But here’s Adobe’s requirements: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cc-gpu-card-faq.html
Note, they do say on that page, if a card isn’t listed, you can assume it works fine if it meets their requirements:
The card was released in the year 2014 or afterwards
It has the minimum amount of graphics processor VRAM required for Photoshop (512 MB). The recommended amount of VRAM is 2 GB or more, though. -
Update. I did go ahead and jump on board with Mojave. So far, no problems. PPro, AE, AME all seem to be behaving same as High Sierra. I’m on trash can late 2013 Mac Pro. Apple’s SMB is still an issue if you need to access Windows server shares. That is still the biggest pain in the a…….. apparently Apple has no intention to fix. Can access shares using SMB fine, but transferring will freeze for :30 to 1:00 every now and then. But that was the same in High Sierra.
If I do experience any issues, I’m sure I’ll be posting. ☺ And Dave can tell me how stupid I was for updating everything. LOL

Yep. Sounds like starting out with h264 video from a phone camera. Editing it on a timeline that may or may not match. Rendering it to a different format. Then having Encore crunch it down to an SD render. It won’t hold up that well at all! And Brent is correct, SD DVD’s aren’t that great looking compared to HD video to begin with. But if you want to make it look a little better, just do yourself a favor and do one render out to DVD MPEG-2. Encore shouldn’t have to transcode that.
Remember, HD is 1920×1080, SD is 720×480.
Good Luck!

You’ll need to right-click your keyframe and set it to linear. It’s probably set to bezier.

I’ve been tempted to – hoping my SMB woes would disappear. But, from what I’ve read, it sounds like Apple is not going to fix their version of SMB. And people like to complain about MS and Adobe!
