No. You can transform a shape layer in 3D space, but the shape layer itself only has 2D transformations within it, so you can only transform shapes within a shape layer in 2D. To do what you want to do, you’d need to have a separate shape layer for each shape that you want to rotate separately in 3D.

Choose the Enable Per-Character 3D option in the Animate menu for the text layer.

Are you trying to rotate each individual character separately, or the whole text layer all together?

If the latter, just use the normal Rotation properties (X,Y,Z) in the Transform property group.

September 24, 2013 at 7:50 pm in reply to: Adobe CC for a television series!? Workflow thoughts..

I recommend posting this on the much-more-trafficked Premiere Pro forum, not this hardly-trafficked-at-all Creative Cloud forum.

    Walter is correct.

Note that I need to be really careful what I say here, since promising (or appearing to promise) functionality far into the future is a tricky legal area for a big software company.

But, yes, OpenEXR is a format that I foresee After Effects importing for a long time.

Both of those seem very safe for the foreseeable future.

Create a 25fps composition. Nest your 29.97fps composition in it. Render and export the 25fps composition. That’s it.

I’m seeing the artifacts that are typical when exporting using an interframe compression scheme and a low bit rate.

Show us a screenshot of your output settings.

Are you exporting this through Adobe Media Encoder? If not, you should be. The H.264 encoding from Adobe Media Encoder is much better than that directly from After Effects.
