Kevin, Thanks for the input and the barefeet link. It looks like the 12 core 2.93 wins the day. Going to this from a dual 2.0 G5 will be heaven. Time to place the order.

Actually, I don’t want the lights to affect the sky at all which is the problem. I set the material option (I think that’s what it’s called,I’m going from memory) of the sky to not accept light but the sky is still blown out by the lights in the scene. Am I missing a setting to stop the sky from being affected by the lights? I appreciate your help on this.

I am using the FCP 4 suite (Version 2 of Compressor) and it does not have the Prores codec. Is there another way to convert with Prores or do I have to upgrade my FCP suite?

The light layers are what I am animating in this comp. They are glowing orbs so I can’t delete them. Any ideas on why I can’t turn off the “accept light” in the materials settings of the panorama? The Panorama is created from a large jpeg.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the input Dave.

When I first got the job I thought I was going to need to change the targa files to get what I wanted. In the end I didn’t have to do that which was a relief. For future reference, If I did need to change say a logo that was in the targa sequence, what is the best approach? Do you have to retouch each image in Photoshop?

    Thanks, Todd

    Paul,

Thanks for the reply. That is what I thought but I feel better having those thoughts confirmed.
