My daughter has been working on a slide show project in the first version of FCE. She is working on an iBook. She has completed two videos using only jpegs and everything has been fine, then half way through the third video, FCE started requiring all of the new jpegs to be rendered. Also now, if she makes a change in one of the first videos she has to render that change as well.
All of the jpegs were scanned the same way at the same time.
Did she inadvertently change a setting? Can her laptop just not handle it?
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question. I didn’t know where else to turn.
    Thanks

    Hi Todd,
Try increasing the “Still cache” in the FC Preferences.
Working with any Uncompressed still format (PNG, Tiff, Targa,..) will also make things easier for FC than working with JPEG.
    Cheers,
    Rafael
