Simon’s right. Worth adding why one layer drifts: a constant crawl runs at a fixed rate and nobody sings at one. The Weeknd version survives it because there’s enough text on screen to hide the drift.

To lock it properly, keyframe the position at the real line times and use the crawl expression only between them.

Either way you still build that marker list by ear. That part can be generated. I make lyric videos, got sick of doing it, built LyriSync (lyrisync.com). Give it the track and your lyrics and its AE import drops comp markers in with each line as the comment. Won’t help with the scroll, that’s Simon’s expression.
