  • Hi there,

I know this specific problem has been resolved, however I had the same problem and the answers in this thread did not help my specific problem. (I live in a PAL region so 25 fps really is 25 fps)

    My problem:

When using a motion tracker the RAM preview showed me a perfectly tracked picture.
However when I rendered the object that used the motion tracker was off by multiple pixels in every direction.

My solution: (probably not the best solution but it worked)

Import the After Effects composition into Premiere (Premiere -> File -> Adobe Dynamic Link -> Import After Effects compostion)and export from there.

This fixed it and the render looks perfect.
I hope someone might find this info usefull.

    Bye!

Hi, thanks for the info on color not generating the XML itself.

To check wether FCP or Color is the problem I tried exporting a xml file from FCP and then importing it.
It doesnt work, neither does it work in other projects.
I think this would indicate that it is a FCP problem and has nothing to do with Color.

I didnt edit in the color sequence I just color corrected it.

Do you (or somebody else) know of any solution to fix the FCP XML exporting/importing bug?

Thanks alot for the usefull comment Joseph 🙂

September 1, 2011 at 3:11 pm in reply to: Encode FLV with Alpha Channel

    Hey there Jason.

Maybe I can help you out. my final cut pro export worked as well with an alpha channel. however when I converted it to .flv I also thought my alpha channel was lost.

In my case I turned out to be wrong. the alpha channel was not lost, its just not visible in flash media player etc. its hard to figure out since FCP doesnt import .flv and neither does After Effects. But It turned out that Adobe Premiere Pro does import .flv so by putting another video behind my footage with alpha layer I found out that my alpha layer was actually there.

    I hope I helped anybody.

    Sorry for the crappy english
