I upgraded to the UltraStudio SDI a few weeks ago and continued to experience the 22fps problem.
After installing BMD DesktopVideo v9.1 yesterday that problem has gone away.
It’s very possible that the newer BMD DesktopVideo 9.1 will solve the problem with the Intensity Pro too, but I’m not going to re-install the card to find out. 🙂

Happy day!

Unfortunately it appears as if my GPU’s just don’t have enough punch to monitor realtime 10-bit through the UltraStudio SDI.
The good news is that 8-bit monitoring works amazingly fast without dropped frames or GPU stress.
I did learn that Resolve uses the GUI GPU for image display and Decklink monitoring. I assumed the math was happening in my UltraStudio.
If installed, a separate CUDA GPU will be used by Resolve for node processing while the GUI GPU handles output monitoring.
FWIW – The GPU cards are the only cards in my system, and I rearranged them in every possible configuration using the x16 and x8 PCIe slots available on my motherboard. Resolve’s performance was unaffected with any of the configurations.

The UltraStudio SDI is the only device using the USB3 connections on my motherboard.

Is there a way I can check that they’re running optimally?

Resolve GPU is a GTX 570If I had an inferior GPU, wouldn’t that affect playback with and without the BMD hardware?
I only experience slow playback when the BMD interface is linked to Resolve.

I meant, when the program is running, even though you cannot see it on the screen, does it have an running item on the task bar.
If you have recently adjusted your display properties or monitor layout then it’s possible the app is displayed on a x/y monitor point you can no longer see.
If that’s the case, right click on the desktop, select Screen Resolution, and then arrange the monitors differently while Premiere is running. It might just be hidden from your view.

Does it show up on the task bar?
