That’s for the info. Actually being able to work as a team on one project will be of great use for us here so that will be really useful info.

    Thanks very much

    Hi All

Thanks so much for the advice.
There will only really need to be a few blocks – I guess I can get away with only animating a few, and editing it so there appears to be more, or that you don’t need to see every one of them animating.

Copying and pasting was the only thing I could think of as well in terms of getting multiples of these. I tried throwing it in a cloner but that didn’t work out.

I had checked out nitromans magic roll but figured there arent any options to take more control of it, but I didn’t think of trying magic pivot as well.

I might be able to get away with using a combination of all but I had better storyboard this out better first!

    thanks

    Hi Adam

Thanks very much for looking at this. I initially tried using the spline dynamics but for some reason I wasn’t able to make the cables then react to other collider objects like the wall. The set up you suggest using xpresso works really well though and might just do the trick. I will give this a try and export the null to after effects.

I’ll have to have another look at using the spline dynamics. I’m sure there is a way to make the cables interact and as you say, it would be more simple.

    Hi

Thanks for that advice. That made a big difference to the render and fixed some odd glitches. I played around with the render settings, turned off the blur etc which made a huge difference in render times.

    cheers

    Hi,

thanks for your reply. I’ve not used xpresso before, so i’m not too sure how to set up the collision node etc. Ill give the proximal shader a try first, I see there are a good few threads about it.

If you have any advice on where to start with the xpresso that would be a great help! I really want to learn how to work with xpresso as it seems such a powerful tool.

    thanks very much
