Nothing would surprise me at this point. Clearly Apple tried to drive that particular nail seven months ago but, like the undead, FCS refuses to stay in the ground.

Which is why I don’t intend to spend a lot of money on hardware in the next few months – unless, of course, I have too.

I’m using it right now. Never handled timecode breaks particularly well – which always annoyed me – but by and large log and capture and batch capture aways worked well for me.

Indeed. Just because their are more industry standards than there have every been does not mean that they no longer exist.

I don’t love it but also don’t find it wildly difficult to adapt. And, as someone just said (sorry, I forget who) you can adjust certain functions so that they no longer appear backward as compared to previous versions. All in all I don’t share the white hot hate that many people appear to have for Lion.

Lord, I hope someone is paying attention. It does seem so. And these do seem to be good developments.
Avid we can talk about on another forum. They own the category yet they seem unable to make money. I think they’re on their way to that now (but at what cost?)
