Saw Derek Jacoby – long before he was Sir Derek – in a play about Turings’ life called “Breaking the Code.” What an astonishingly sad and frightening story.
I had a good experience with Adobe’s “scriptsync” in a short with one very clear vo. Not as good an experience with a longer project with diverse voices.
It won, hands down. It is only us – the old, the foolish, those unable to learn new things, unable to accept change, those that cling desperately to the old ways – who do not accept FCPX’s universal appeal. (Though I do like it for some jobs.)
Sorry for whatever part I played in this, Tim. I felt I was being personally attacked and I responded. Which in retrospect was stupid of me. I’m sorry to have made your job a pain. If it makes you feel at all better, it’s not the first time I’ve been stupid. And probably not the last.
