    In the past I’ve used hardware based encoding (Optibase) off of Digibeta masters, with good results – but it would improve workflow and eliminate costs to work straight through Episode.

    Has anyone had any negative experiences with encoding MPEG 2 Program Streams in Episode?

    Also, any suggestions for a good simulator to test and view these files?

    I’ve got Episode available already, and may try to work with that using exports directly out of Final Cut, at least before considering an additional purchase.
