It depends on the DVD player. Most are probably going to have a slight lag. It shouldn’t be noticeable, however, if at the break point you fade to black, or have a title, or put anything not in motion, and you don’t have any audio playing.

Can’t be done. One video file per timeline. It’s a good suggestion for a feature request, tho:
https://www.adobe.com/support/feature.htmlBest you can do is to set up separate timelines for each segment, with end actions connecting them.

The page won’t load for me right now, but Steven Gotz’s link page (https://www.stevengotz.com/tutorials.htm) may have the explanation as to why:
Free Adobe Encore tutorials. He is a wee bit Scottish, but you can understand him.He sometimes has bandwidth issues. If you don’t get his site to come up, wait until after Midnight EST for the allottment to reset. -
I’ve never had that problem, Simon. When I use the “Create an After Effects composition” option in Encore, my AE comps look fine.
Are you constructing your menus in Photoshop before you bring them into Encore? My only possible guess is that there might be some problem with the naming conventions or the structure of the layer groups in the original PSD. Try starting a menu with one of the templates that Encore comes with and see if you get the same behavior from that.

I don’t have a list of authoring programs that support AC3 files. It’s like asking what local restaurants serve pizza with red onions. Many do. Some don’t.
In general, I’d say that any program targeted at professional users should support AC3. Adobe Encore supports AC3.
What program do you want to use? You should probably check the help files/manual/web site for that program to find out if it will allow you to import an AC3 file.

The first important question is what codec do these AVI files use? You will need to have that codec installed for it to work.

Aha! I was looking for that option but couldn’t find it. Thanks, Joe.

Right. It’s not the most intuitive, but what happens is that the highlights are actually separate Photoshop layers. Those aren’t attached to the text in any way after they’re created, so changing the text won’t change the highlight.
Two ways to fix this:
1. Right-click on the button > Convert to Object. In the Layers palette, open up the button’s folder, select the highlight layer, and press the Delete key. Then convert the text to a button again.
2. Wait until you have all of your text objects created, then convert them all to buttons. -

July 6, 2005 at 6:50 pm in reply to: Whats the best format to export out of After Effects into Adobe Encore? You need to re-render each time you change the menu. When you make a change, like the loop point or altering a button, the previous rendering becomes invalid.

Have you rendered the motion menus in Encore? File > Render Motion Menus.
