Plain language messaging as well as the obvious cutoff with no grace period certainly doesn’t jive with the official line on how things are supposed to work.
Have you had any direct contact with Adobe support concerning this experience?

[Dan Nyberg] “Media100 marks out at the playhead.”
Ah yes…I know I’d used an NLE that set an out point that way…

I think there is likely an H264 preset that would work for you.
That’s probably the most versatile format these days.

This kind of thing is usually from moving a project from a machine that has a 3rd party workflow (back when AJA/BM/Matrox used to havetheir own sequence settings for instance) to a machine that doesn’t have them installed…
Premiere Pro thinks it’s looking at a project that uses a preset it doesn’t have. You can get these to import to a new project and get it to work sometimes…it will warn you and then drop into a generic “custom” sequence setting that usually works…
So…you’re on the same computer? Have you loaded any updates? Is it a trial installation?

[Dan Nyberg] “If you can, I would appreciate it if you would please try it. You will see that at the cut-point, it will take one frame of the following footage.”
Oh, I don’t have to try it…I do it every day…many times. After a while, you forget about the workarounds that are muscle memory.
There is no question that this is one area where the behavior of the set out function should really have a different relationship to the playhead position than up/down arrow edit point jump behavior and set in.
I know that this has been mentioned in the past so it is not unknown to Adobe.

Keep in mind that the frame you see when the playhead is parked is the frame to the right of it. When you set the out, the behavior assumes you want to include the frame you’re viewing in the clip. When you set the out, that frame looks like it’s beyond the playhead, but it’s actually the frame you’re looking at because the playhead sits on the leading edge of it.

Yeah…I don’t think that conforming to trimmed media works unless Premiere Pro does the trimming with the project manager (and therefore rebuilds the database to reflect the new media durations)… Otherwise, even though the source TC might be correct, the media duration overall, is wrong.
So…I guess you might try trimming the media with PPro (project manager) prior to sending it to Resolve, or send back the clips from Resolve without trimming tbem.

I don’t know how Apple does that…it s possible there is some limitation on the trial version of FCPX… If you can’t see it (it looked like you could set it up to export on your screen grab…), you may want to get compressor so you can get it done.

Depending on what the product/service is…many of my clients actually use a buyer and they buy certain markets…buying national is cost-effective for big consumer brands, certainly, but even some of the bigger players stretch their dollars a bit farther by buying specific local markets.
It can also become a good tool to measure reach…you run the spot with guy in the pink bunny suit in one market and the one with the lovely young lady in the workout suit in another market and see which is working better.
