I’d just render out one master image sequence in HD square pixels, then down convert the sequence to each different format and their respective aspect ratio. If they are all going to be 4 x 3, then make sure to keep that in mind while within your HD comp.

You may want to try the foam plug in. I’ve used it with a flow mask before and it’s worked out pretty well.
