You may already know this, but try upgrading to FCP 6.06, and the ProApps update to see if that works

Thank you Bob for you kind words, and yes I am very fortunate to have the best tools work with as far as for what I am producing. You know a few people are too cheap to pay for a quality product to shoot weddings for them. I want to provide the best quality of footage available, and having the top of the line equipment is very helpful! Thanks Tim

Thank you for you reply, so the Firewire 800, external will work 10 bit, and 8 bit HDVproHD? and the SATA will need a pci express card to run out externally? I have a 500 gb SATA inside already, dedicated for capture with FCP, if I go with a SATA what controler is the best?

Thank you for your imput and help! I got !!!, I was unzipping the Zip driver files in Windows then transfering the files to my G5, and the OS X would not let me open them. After spending all weekend, thinking I would have to return the card, I got lucky and I just copied the Zip file after downloading to a shared file and brought it into my Mac,opened it as a Targa archive file and it Worked!!, The Windows Win Zip formated the DMG files, to where the OS X would not open it! So hopefully this will help somebody else sometime in the future! Thank you for your help! Tim C.
