Hi,
I have to ask again if it is somehow possible in Encore on a multi-page menu to return not always to the first page when pressing the disc menu button on the player.
Because I just made a Bluray with Nero and there it is possible!
When activating a clip on the 3. menu then after switching back to the disc menu it will switch back to the 3. menu again.
I don’t think Nero is more professional then Encore 🙂BR

Hi,
I think I found a solution of this Encore bug:
First I start Premiere and then Encore since the Encore timeline is connected to Premiere.
Second I clean the Encore media cache in the preferences.
When I start then the rendering of the motion menus the rendering is faster.
Which of the two things mentioned above fixes this issue I don’t know yet, maybe both of them.
The strange thing is that if I look in the processes, the Premiere process is running between 30-60% the Encore process only 10-20%.
But still the quadcore CPU is by far not utilized and the hard disk is also not busy.
The motion menue rendering is not efficiently programmed.

The long encoding problem was removed after uninstalling different video SW and codec packs. I don’t know what exactly it was but it’s much faster transcoding now.

Its a PC and CS5.

Thanks for the info but I cannot believe that the rendering of the menus will take that long and only uses on core.
Since this would need days for transcoding just one 15s animated menu.
I still think this is a setting or a configuration problem.
It would be interesting if others have the same issue that transcoding of menus with animated buttons will take that long. -
Encore CS5 latest (5.0.0.508)

I mean selecting as highlighted, like a simple click on the clip.

Thanks for the info. But is it possible to generate a chapter index menus automatically across two timelines? Or do I have to make two sets of menus for each timeline and connect them manually?

Maybe I should be more specific I want to make a Blu-ray not Video DVD.
