thanks, i think i need to get more practice in order to get the hang of it. that and keyframing. thanks for your input. usinf the effects control does help me visualize it a bit more.

once and for all someone please clear this up for me—

when i make cuts in my raw footage, i make the cut just before (about 1/2 sec)before the scene changes from when i shot it in camera. if i butt this clip up against another clip that has about 1/2 second lag from the scene change, will this be enough. this is how i’m used to doing it in 6.0 and 6.5, what you see is what you get. it seems like pro 2.0 adds footage that i have cut out with the razor.

i know what a transition is, i’m just used to premire 6.0 and 6.5. this is the first time i’ve done single track editing, which i don’t care for at this point. what i dont understand is why when i butt two clips together, i still have to have a cushion on each side of the transition. i guess i’ll have to get used to it though.

thanks, i had forgotten about that. that still doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me how they do those transitions, but thanks anyhow.
