I finding any 3rd party software/Hardware, dosnt run consistant on Macs
Having problems with my Larid right now.
The only hardwar/software I found that works well is AJA
I went through the Cini thing last year..
New drivers, new updates, and then you get a new OS, good luck.
Apple stives to use only firewire/and dont want any competion around..
I always found dropping down a OS, or reinstalling Cine is the way to go..
Once you are up and running dont change any software..
I miss the old days when you bought an edit bay and it was good for 5+ years.
    Thanks consumerism
    Good luck

Not sure if that would work,

Im on a Mac, and AEs memory is set automatically, then theres a preference under the Apple Icon that lets you increase processor speed..
I would try and look under preferences in AE or you PC, and see if there is a way to increase memory..
I havent run into this yet but you might just have to split up your comp in the end.

I went through the same thing with Pinnacle last year, took me for ever..
I swear after several procedures, I ended up swiping the disk clean rebooting and took a couple of steps back in OS land.. and waited for the latest addition.
At one point I had to trash my FCP preferences everytime I started to edit.
Its an on going battle with vendors and Apple guess the magic word is Firewire..
Having to wait around and wait for 3rd party hardware and software if part of the big plan.
You have to access how much production will be lost, how many files are on the drive
and dollars will be lost too, before you lose a machine for a couple of days..
I know alot of people that stick with FCP 3 on older versions of OS to stay function able..

    Good luck
