sometimes it is possible to key out a subject from the background using the secondary color corrector without having the green screen. However, whether it will work in your case really depends on the footage.

One thing you can do is activate the ripple edit and then drag the clip on the right side of each fade to the right.
Or, when you have something like Excalibur, you can have all the clips moved with one mouseclick.

I’m not sure wheter I understand you completely. But you would like to add a fade-in to all your clips which are not superimposed on other clips, just with one click?
I quess (haven’t tried, sorry), you can do this by using any of the scripts I mentioned before, to add the Spicemaster as FX (not as transition) to all the clips. You just have to make the desired preset first in Spicemaster

What do you mean by this? Do you intend to say that the scripts I referred to can not do the job that Mike Dalton was asking for?
BTW, are you the seller of Vegasaur? If yes, it would ne nice if you mentioned that in all the posts where you advertize for Vegasaur

Funny that you ask this, because I just wrote a tutorial on this. Unfortunately for you in Dutch. But the answer is simpel: apply the gradient wipe transition. A popup window will allow you to import your custom made gradient (ideal for making handwritings, walking travelroutes on a map or whatever you like…).
The gradient wipe transition is only present inVegas 9 pro. When you work with Vegas 8 or movie Studio, you can use the spicemaster plugin to achieve the same effect.

When I read it back, it sounds like a stupid sentence. What I wanted to say is that it is almost always possible to get your project on a DVD, even when it is very long. Just by lowering the bitrate dramatically. But ofcourse then the quality will also go down dramatically…

A DVD will (nearly always fit on a DVD, so that is not the problem. However, because of the MPEG2 encoding, youmight loose quality when you try to make a DVD with too much video-time. Assuming you like to havethe highest quality, the maximum time is a littlebit more then 1 hour on a 4.3Gb DVD. The exact figures depend on a number of things like the menu, audio, data files, the amount of movement in your video (thats because of he way the MPEG2 encoder work) etc. Lowering the bitrate will allow you to add more minutes to the DVD, but decreases the quality. It is up to you to decide what you find acceptable.
For me, I always try to keep the time below 70 minutes. In fact, I like to make short videos more then long video’s…
